Strong. Stable. Built to Last.
Dental Implants
A missing tooth impacts more than your smile—it affects how you eat, speak, and feel each day. At Guthrie Dental, we don’t rush or push insurance-driven care. We focus on long-term solutions. Dental implants offer a stable, predictable, lasting replacement for patients in Manheim and surrounding communities.
What Is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a titanium post placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth root. After it integrates with the bone, a custom crown restores natural appearance and function. Unlike bridges or dentures, implants stand on their own, preserving healthy teeth while restoring strength and stability to your bite.
Dental implants can:
- Restore full chewing strength
- Prevent bone loss in the jaw
- Keep surrounding teeth from shifting
- Eliminate slipping or movement
- Look completely natural
Why Many Patients Choose Implants
We often see patients in their 50s, 60s, and beyond who are tired of “temporary fixes.” They want something done the right way.
When dentistry is done well, it should feel solid and predictable, and this is our promise to you.
Our Approach: Thoughtful, Modern Dentistry
We’re a small-town practice committed to modern dentistry: advanced technology, ongoing education, and thoughtful planning. Before recommending implants, we evaluate your overall oral health and explain all options clearly. Informed patients make confident long-term decisions.
Treatment Process
The implant process is straightforward, with clear communication at every step. From consultation to final crown, treatment may span several months to allow proper healing and integration. Your timeline will be outlined clearly, so you always know what to expect.
Consultation with Dr. Guthrie
Every implant journey starts with a comprehensive assessment to ensure you're a suitable candidate.
Preparation
Preparation for an implant begins with detailed planning using a 3D x-ray. This allows both the implant to be placed safely away from important nerves and blood vessels.
Implant Placement
The titanium post (artificial root) is placed in the bone.
Osseointegration
The bone gradually fuses with the implant over a few months, ensuring its stability.
Abutment and Crown Placement
After healing, an abutment is attached to the implant, and the final crown or prosthetic tooth is secured.
This practice is the best, no one could ask more for dental service. Carol, my hygienist is an absolute perfectionist! She explains all procedures clearly and professionally. Bravo!

Invest in What Lasts
Many of our patients choose dentistry based on long-term value rather than insurance coverage. Dental implants are an investment in stability, comfort, and lasting health. When treatment is done correctly the first time, it helps prevent future complications—that’s the standard we believe in.
